Orlando Weather: A Month-by-Month Guide

January: Average high of 71°F (22°C) and average low of 50°F (10°C).
The mild temperatures make it the perfect time for a hot air balloon ride or a visit to the Kennedy Space Center, which offers indoor and outdoor exhibits and tours. It’s also a great month for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling at the Tibet-Butler Nature Preserve or taking a hot air balloon ride over the scenic landscape of Orlando.

February: Average high of 74°F (23°C) and average low of 53°F (12°C).
With warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine, February is an ideal time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and enjoy the many outdoor attractions and shows. Also visit the Harry P. Leu Gardens, which features beautiful floral displays, butterfly gardens, and an extensive collection of camellias and roses.

March: Average high of 78°F (26°C) and average low of 57°F (14°C).
The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is a must-see event for flower and garden enthusiasts, and the mild temperatures make it the perfect time to explore the festival's outdoor exhibits.

April: Average high of 83°F (28°C) and average low of 62°F (17°C).
The warmer temperatures make April a great time for an airboat tour at Wild Florida, where you can see alligators and other wildlife basking in the sun.

May: Average high of 88°F (31°C) and average low of 68°F (20°C). 
With its sunny days and warm temperatures, May is an ideal time to visit the beach or a water park, or to explore the many rides and attractions at Universal Studios. It’s also a great month to explore the theme parks such as Disney World, Universal Studios, or SeaWorld, as the crowds are usually lighter compared to other months.

June: Average high of 91°F (33°C) and average low of 73°F (23°C).
June is a great time to visit SeaWorld Orlando, where you can see dolphins, whales, and other marine animals in their natural habitats, or cool off at one of the city's many water parks, such as Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach or Volcano Bay.

July: Average high of 92°F (33°C) and average low of 74°F (23°C).
Celebrate the 4th of July by watching the fireworks over Lake Eola in downtown Orlando or attend one of the many outdoor concerts or festivals happening in the area. Also take a day trip to the beaches of Daytona or Cocoa Beach, which are just an hour's drive from Orlando.

August: Average high of 92°F (33°C) and average low of 74°F (23°C).
The warm temperatures make August an ideal time for a kayaking or paddleboarding tour of the Wekiva River, or for exploring the many indoor attractions at Universal Orlando Resort. It’s also the perfect month for cooling off at Reunion Resort’s private waterpark.

September: Average high of 89°F (32°C) and average low of 72°F (22°C).
September is a great time to enjoy the theme parks, as the crowds are generally smaller than during the summer months. Visit Epcot for the International Food and Wine Festival. This annual event features food and wine tastings from around the world, culinary demonstrations, live music, and more.

October: Average high of 84°F (29°C) and average low of 65°F (18°C).
With its Halloween-themed events and haunted tours, October is a great time to explore the spooky side of Orlando. Visit Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween at Disney or Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Go pumpkin picking at one of the many local farms near Orlando such as Long and Scott Farms or Southern Hill Farms, which feature hayrides and other fall activities.

November: Average high of 78°F (26°C) and average low of 57°F (14°C).
Take a sunset hot air balloon ride over the Orlando area and enjoy the stunning views of the city, or visit the Universal Orlando Resort for the annual Harry Potter celebration.

December: Average high of 73°F (23°C) and average low of 50°F (10°C).
With festive holiday events and displays throughout the city, December is a great time to explore. Visit the Disney Springs outdoor shopping and dining district for festive holiday events, or attend one of the many holiday light displays and parades happening throughout the city. Celebrate the holiday season by visiting the famous Christmas light displays at the Gaylord Palms Resort or take a carriage ride through the streets of the nearby town of Celebration to experience the festive atmosphere.
